This heater is not operable at altitudes over 2,000 feet above sea level. Installing this heater at high altitude could cause the heater not to operate properly and possibly create a hazardous condition. The manufacturer, Hayward, make a high altitude conversion kit that allows the heater to operate at high altitude. The conversion kit (part number FDXLHAK1930) can be ordered and installed by a qualified service person.
